Time to dance my little fingers over the keyboard again!

Well.... it's been a long time since I updated this but I had other things I needed to take care of. Good news... my surprise has FINALLY come into affect on the last day of the security class, which was Friday, November 12. It went, quite well, actaully. I'm sure you all are wondering what it was and why it took so long so here it is...

I got me a 1990 Pontiac Firebird! This is the car I really wanted since I was a young lad (actaully any one between 1982-1990 but this one will do too!). I'm not going to get into the specifics of how I got it and all that stuff here; that will be devoted to another page in my site comming soon!

Now, a few days after that was another surprise...
Remember about that thing I wasn't too sure about in my last blog post? Well, I have decided to go into the "Last Resort" now. Before I get into that, let me just back up a bit in my life and what has gone on since then..... *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*

As you know, I moved down here about 5 years ago from NY. As soon as I moved down and finished up my education to get my "Good Enough Diploma," I went to the Police Academy to see about joining the it because that's what I wanted to do since I was in NY. Because I had no drivers license yet (I was taking the bus in NY all the time, no need for a lic), I couldn't join the academy so the guy there insisted I take the "Intro to Private Investigation" course. I took that and my mind got switched a bit so I ended up taking all the available PI classes and criminal justice classes to become a PI. When I finally got my license and car, I became an intern for the Public Defenders Office in Fort Pierce. During the time I was in the class doing that, I got picked, along with 2 others, to work for a dude who was opening his own agency. I agreed to do that and yadda yadda, shit hit the fan so I quit, er resigned.

Out of a whim and needing money fast because I was almost dead broke, I decided to open up the www.dragonpctraining.com business. A year later went by and I realized I didn't want to persue this computer business full time; I liked playing with PC's as a hobby, not working on them and with them. So, because money was tight too and I wanted to get back to the criminal justice-type field, I decided to take the security officer class and get a license after that and work as a security officer at night and do the PC thing during the day. When I was in the class, I realized I was the youngest dude in there and the rest were 50-80+. Yadda yadda, I thought about going into security but the pay wasn't good enough to survive and I'd rather do something where I was more active and not just "sitting at a booth or gate letting people in." So... since I am 1 credit from the CJ degree, I decided to not throw away all the time and money it took for that education and put it to use..... so.... I've been thinking and realized I have been doing everything backwards kinda so.... I'm just going to go right into Law Enforcement because I know I will defenatly like the job, I will have more than enough money to support myself ($30,000+ a year), full benefits, possition increases and stuff, different jobs in the field, and more (well, not more, but you get the idea) importantly, after working there for a few years, I will have the experience I need to get my PI license and I don't need a security license if I want to do that later on too!

So, this is going to be a big step to take in my life, although all the steps I have been taking since I have been down here have been pretty big. It is going to be a fun ride and I can't wait to start it!

I'm going to end my blog update on that note and I'll keep you guys (only 4 of you, lol!) updated with more info soon and let you know when that other page will be up, along with other stuff!

Knight,

Justin
